A used Nikon D300 Camera $800. A used Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8 Nikkor Lens $1000. Shooting from the inside track and being a Derby Photographer for any Derby League that values my work, priceless.

In April 2010 I watched my first derby bout and started dreaming about being a derby photographer. In February 2011, I shot my first official bout. During the course of the 2011 season, I traveled over 25k miles shooting derby bouts. By the end of the season, I was invited to to shoot the first Roller Derby World Cup in Toronto. It has truly been an incredibly wild and wonderful journey....BUT my dream has now become my reality. I am loving every minute of it.
